What We Belive About the Following

A. Corporate Services

We have an opening prayer for 15 minute and then right away flow into worship for half an hour. And then announcements and greetings visitor and taking offering. Lastly ministering of the Word and may be in the end give an altar call if the Sprit of God leads to minister to those in need.

B. Corporate Prayer Times

We encourage every member of our church to be actively involved in corporate prayer times and not be a spectator but rather a participator, so that they might experience God's blessing similar to the Solemn assembly. We want to raise up an intercessory prayer ministry and a prayer chain for required needs and prayer.

C. Music and Worship

We have a combination of songs; possibly some hymns as well new songs of worship. We want to encourage heartfelt worship in Spirit and truth so that we might experience freedom and liberty in the presence of the Lord. As the foundation is built and as the Lord leads, in future we want to incorporate a School of David for our church.

D. Offerings

We have ushers who take the offering after the worship and before the Word. In addition, we do give biblical teaching on tithing and special offerings.

E. Accounting and counting Money

We have set up two to three people for accountability and counting the offering. We would follow the procedures taught in Church administration to prevent any form of mishandling of funds.

F. Church Constitution/By Laws

At the earliest possible time, we would set up, establish and publish the church constitution and by laws. To begin with, we would follow the model of City Bible Church in this area with proper spiritual and legal authority established.

G. Church Government/Structure

Eldership rule - Senior Pastor and elders.

H. Church Membership

We will have a six-week membership class where we will teach new members basic doctrine of the bible and what it means to be physically, spiritually and financially committed to the house of the Lord

I. Communion

The table of the Lord is very important to remember what Jesus has done for us on the cross. We don't want to do it as a ritual but as a fresh dedication of our lives to him. We want to remind ourselves the importance of his shed blood on the cross and how much we are grateful to him. We will have communion an average of twice a month and as the Spirit leads

J. Water Baptism

Before we water baptize the new converts, we want to give them a brief teaching on the water baptism, being an outward ceremony for an inward work. So that they would have a true understanding of water baptism that it is not ritual rather they are separating themselves from the world. They are new creatures and born into the family of God. They are doing what Jesus told them to do "Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness" (Matt. 3:15)

K. Altar Work

For altar work, we would train some people who would lay hands on and pray for those who come forward for salvation or any prayers. First of all I would prefer that Elders and lay pastor come and minister on the Altar, but if we ran out of people then we would have the trained altar workers minister.

M. Children's Ministry

I hold children's ministry as a vital part of the church for raising up the next generation. I believe that our children are God's future leaders. We want to have children ministry for our church from nursery to six grades. As our church is established and grows, we would love to have ministry for the unsaved children of the community.

N. Women's Ministry

My wife has a burden for women's ministry. We believe that women are as important as men in ministry. They are called and an indispensable part of body of Christ. We would organize events for women where they can meet together and may invite guest speakers to minister to them

O. Men's Ministry

We want to have a men's ministry. We want organize men's prayer groups and an occasional prayer breakfast. We also want to encourage accountability and Bible studies for the man as spiritual leader and priest of the home.

P. Youth/Singles Ministry

As our church grows we do want to have a Youth ministry as well as ministering to the single members of the church. It would be added as the foundation expands, concentrating on the youth ministry first.

Q. Pre-marital Counselling

Counselling would be a vital part of the church, especially in the area of pre-marital counselling. My wife and I would provide initial pre-marital counselling for all members moving in the direction of marriage.

R. Evangelism

I think evangelism is the greatest way for church growth. We would organize some outreach programs in our community to evangelize. An important and vital way to reach the unsaved would be through the cell group ministry.

S. Leadership Development

Discipleship training would be a vehicle for raising up future leaders in the church. We would build on that as the church grew.

T. Visiting Ministry

We would welcome proven visiting ministries to minister to the congregation as the opportunity arose. I would ask and approve all visitors speaking in the church.

U. Relating to Other Pastors in Area

We would like to work with and fellowship with other pastors within the community. I would love to begin a prayer and intercessory time for many of the pastors - to solidify unity in Christ Jesus. I want us to be a blessing and not a threat to the surrounding churches and pastors.

Summary of our thinking on the following themes :

A. Debt

We believe there should be no debt, with the exception of major things like a house, car or building for the church. I believe in relying on the provision of God and being self-supporting. Debt can in many cases be associated with materialism and wrong decision-making and lack of discipline. We must live within our means as God provides. I would establish debt counselling as the need arises.

B. Tithing

I believe that tithing is not an option and demonstrates where the person's heart is. I approach tithing not as legalistic requirement, but as a release of God's blessing upon His children. I would insure proper biblical teaching on tithing and stewardship.

C. Excommunication

We believe in biblical excommunication with the intent of restoring the fallen members to right fellowship with God and the Body of Christ. We would establish right procedures in excommunication with the elder board and before it would be accomplished, every other biblical avenue would be exhausted to restore the member before it got to excommunication.

D. Divorce/Remarriage

We do not advocate divorce in any sense of the word because of the marriage covenant. Each case must be dealt with in detail to determine if there are any extenuating circumstances such as immorality or extreme violence, etc. We acknowledge divorce and remarriage in special circumstances as before the blood or in line with Scripture. We would not place or keep anyone in church leadership if divorce or remarriage took place after the blood of Jesus.

E. Counselling/Psychology

We believe strongly in biblical counselling with the power of the Holy Spirit and by the Word of God. We do not believe in current psychology counselling with drug medication, as it can be extremely harmful to the person. We would follow the counselling manual of Jay Adams (Christian Counselling Manual).

F. Christian Education

We are firm believers in Christian education formally as well as home schooling and if the Lord ever provided the way and the means we would love to establish a Christian school connected with the church.

G. Speaking with Tongues

We believe it is biblical and a spiritual gift. We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit can be manifested with the spiritual gift of speaking in other tongues as well as other gifts but it is not the only way to determine if one is saved. It depends on the person's heart response. We believe that one can receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit by one's spiritual hunger as well as the laying on of hands.

H. Cell Groups

We would establish our church as a cell group church. We strongly believe in the small group ministry with trained leaders and want to pattern our church after the Acts 2:42 model of the early church.

I. User-friendly Church Concepts

We firmly believe that our church must be a user-friendly church with open communication, grace, mercy and love. Without the user-friendly concepts, growth can be diminished. The congregation must desire to grasp and support the vision and feel that they are a vital part of the Body of Christ ministering to one another just as in the early church model.
